My Greatest Hits
{The Soundtrack of My Life}
Saturday, June 14
10am - 12pm
The sun is out, things are heating up and I'm finally gettin' back into the swing of things around here (no more blogging gaps, I promise!). This also means that I've been concocting classes for the summer! My latest is a mini-book designed with the intent of capturing the most memorable moments of our lives- through music! List your favorite songs over the years (and the meaning they have for you) and gather some photos that represent that time then stop on by EVER AFTER in Carlsbad, CA for the latest offering of this class! See store website for more details.
P.S. For those of you that live elsewhere, stay tuned for details on a second offering of this class in THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA! Kits are also available- shoot me an email if you have any questions!
hugs! ♥

Saturday, March 1st
11:00am-2:00pm
It's been a while since i've offered some eye candy so I thought i'd share some sneak peeks of my latest class! This class is extra special to me for a few reasons: i've been on a bit of a break scrap-wise, so this is my first project in a looong time, it showcases one of my FAVORITE Rusty Pickle lines- LUCKY, houses all of my most-loved photos of J and I from 2007, and it is themed around one of my all-time favorite songs- Little Wonders by Rob Thomas. I've shared the lyrics on here before, but if you havent heard of the song, head straight to itunes! Another thing that makes this class *special* is that I will be teaching it at one of my old haunts, Scrapbook Island, IN THE BAY AREA! I'm jazzed to see old friends and hope to make new ones. If you are in the area, call or check out their website for more details (click on their name above to be directed to their website)! ♥

Check out photos from my most recent class, Home Sweet Home, on Sunday. I had a BLAST with these ladies. They were SO NICE and SO MUCH FUN! Although i'm 90% recovered from my sinus issues, I lost my voice in the middle of class. ha! Good times. :) For those of you who were in my class and are looking for project photos, you can find them in the Classes album, to the right.
Thanks again, ladies.. I loved every minute of it. :) Even the part where I forgot something at home in my morning rush and had to ask J to bring it to EA (we live 6 minutes away). He's a life-saver as well as a sweetheart!
"Honey, can you do me a favor?"
"uhh.. what?"
"I'm sorry! Can you bring me the stack of paper I left on the table near the door. It's teal."
"And teal is...?"
"Umm... that would be blue."
You know you're bad when you can't, for the life of you, comprehend how someone doesn't know what the color teal is. ♥

Feels like I haven't had a post like this in a while, but here they are; my classes for September at Ever After!

Sunday, Sept. 23rd 11am-1pm
Who knew cardboard could be so hip? A bit fun, a bit funky- this album has it all! Showcasing the latest Jack + Abby line from Love, Elsie in a trendy cardboard Rusty Pickle album, it is filled with buttons, pockets and loads of other goodies! What a fun way to display your favorite memories of home. A great gift for a new or long-time home-owner, someone who's just recently moved, or those memorable Fall photos. Rich browns, reds and light blues adorn this pages of this album. We are also going to play with embossing powder and perhaps learn a cool new trick or two! If you've been hesitant about trying it before, here is your chance! Between the heat-embossing, warm fall colors and memorable moments of home, you are sure to leave class feeling all warm and fuzzy!
Please bring to class 6-10 photos (Most of these will be cropped down to 3-1/2x5 or 4x4). If you also have a heat gun, it is HIGHLY recommended that you bring it to class! _____________________________________________________________
Sunday, Sept. 30 12-2pm
It's nearly that time of year again! Leaves will soon begin to change, the weather will turn and before you know it, we'll be counting the minutes until the ball drops. Start the year fresh with a fun calendar to keep you up to date! A favorite from last year returns with an updated look. This cute little calendar can be hung from a fridge, the back of a door or over a desk.
Please bring to class 12 wallet-size photos (one for each month of the year). I recommend sepia-tone or black and white, but color is okay. You will also need a hole punch (a crop-a-dile is HIGHLY recommended).

Aside from being busy, i've been sick this week (yes, again)! We had a heat wave last week and then all of a sudden the weather changed and we've needed blankets back on our bed at night. The drastic weather change seems to have confused my body (along with all of the running around i've been doing lately) and now i'm paying the price. My body's been achey AND my voice is shot. Not that my husband is complaining, i'm sure. Gotta love Mother Nature.
Despite all of the craziness at Chateau Rivas, I managed to scrap a LOT earlier in the week! I've been creatively drained lately but it felt good to just "force" myself to PLAY. I think i'm starting to finally get into the swing of things. I've got my classes ready for the month of September and should be done with my classes for October by the end of this week. That is, if my teachers don't decide to spring anymore exams on me. *fingers crossed* This week is going to be a busy one. I have classes until Wednesday and then on Thursday morning I fly out to Utah for the annual RP Chef Retreat. SO EXCITED. I just know i'm going to come back BRIMMING with ideas. I have a lot of other Rusty Pickle news to report as well as a TON of layouts, but i'll put all of that in a new post over the next day or so. Be sure to look for it! ♥

Here's a peek at my newest class at EA (i'll post complete pics once the class is pau - that's finished, in Hawaiian). :) It's titled, "Oh, the places we'll go" and showcases Love, Elsie's Toby line. Learn techniques to carry over into your scrapbook pages; loads of doodling and scraps galore in this one. I had SO much fun working on this, i finished it up in just a day and a half. You won't want to miss this fun class! Hope to see you there!
> Oh, the Places We'll Go!
(a travel album)
> July 28th, Saturday, 10am-1pm
Please bring to class, along with a basic tool kit, the following:
You will also need your favorite travel photos; approx. 16-20 4x6 photos, one must be an 8x10, one 5x7. If you’d like the option of fitting even more photos into your album, have a few of them printed in wallet-size. ♥

> Flip Flop Mini-Album
> June 23, Saturday, 10am-12pm
Please bring with you, along with the basic class kit, your favorite black and white pens. I recommend Gelly Roll Glaze, Uniball White Signo and any American Crafts black pens. These are always good to have on hand anyway. You will also need about 5-10 photos. :)
So there's a peek at the revamped flip-flop album. i'll post complete pics once the class is finite! P.S. Sorry it's a little blurry.. i woke up with the worst migraine and couldn't keep my hand still when i was snappin' away. I took two excedrine migraine (LOVE whoever invented THAT), which should be kickin' in within the next 30 minutes.
I'm a total space-case and forgot that although the bulk of my college classes start on the 18th, my math class started on monday. hehe. Fret not, i realized this in time and the earth was whole again. There is a point to my telling you this, i swear. I'm trying to get as much out of the way as possible.. with summer school, Amazing Race, SOY and my EA classes coming up, summer's going to be INSANE. As soon as the meds kick in i'm off to scrapbook with Kim and hopefully play with some Love, Elsie papers for one of my July classes. Wanna try to get through my August classes by next week, too. ha! Wish me luck on that one. :)
{Btw, i quit my job- wasn't sure if i mentioned that in the last week or so- figured i'd just throw that in there. hehe it was actually a long, very thought-out decision; decided to go back to school and with that needing to be my main focus, along with scrapbooking, i just could not juggle that many balls.. although i have always wanted to learn how to juggle. but i digress.}
Hope to see you soon! ♥

Just a quick thanks to the ladies who attended last night's Princess Mini-Album class at Ever After (and to Kim who played assistant- i owe you big time!). It was a real pleasure! :) For those of you who purchased kits, they are now available at EA. Additional photos can be found in the Classes album. Please let me know if you have any questions! ♥

Remember when die-cuts were rad? And no, i'm not talkin' Quickutz. Remember back in the day when no trip to your LSS was complete without perusing through their file drawers stuffed with cardstock shapes? Remember how you'd use their die-cut machines to cut out shapes or letters to give your layout that finishing touch? Remember how you'd hold onto that tiny yellow scrap just in case you needed an extra daisy? Man, those were the days.
I stepped out of my comfort zone while creating my latest class for Ever After. I'm happy with how this turned out, considering I used the rather archaic (to the modern scrapper, anyway) die-cut machine for the castle shape. As soon as I discovered the castle die, I just KNEW I had to create something with it. This class has it all- the old and the new (notice bling galore). I'm loving pink with orange right now and the brown just rounds it out rather nicely. Those adorable photos are of my niece, Tatyana. Want to showcase that perfect little princess in your life? Join me at EA this month to create this keepsake!
Class Title: Princess Castle Mini-Book
Class Date: Thursday, May 24
Class Time: 7-9pm
Supplies: In addition to the basic tool kit, please bring with you glue dots, liquid glue (crystal laquer or diamond glaze), distressing ink pads if you have any (I used Old Paper), and sandpaper.
So what have we learned here? We really can create some pretty cool stuff with "old" supplies. What products do you have in your collection possession that could use a little dusting off? I challenge you this week to create a page using a product or tool that has collected some dust over the last year and breathe new life into it. Are you up for the challenge? ♥
